Welcome to Shade Shelf. By downloading or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use Shade Shelf.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Shade Shelf. If you are under 18, you should have your parent or guardian's permission.
You own the posts, photos, and other content you create in Shade Shelf. By posting publicly, you give us a non-exclusive license to store and display that content within the app so other users can see it — that's the whole purpose of the license, and it ends when you delete the content or your account.
Shade Shelf is meant to be a friendly place for polish lovers. You agree not to post or do any of the following:
You can report content or block users in the app. We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules, at our discretion and without prior notice.
Shade names, colors, hex values, and AI-generated identifications (including Shade Verify results) are provided for convenience and may be inaccurate or incomplete. On-screen colors can differ from real-world polish due to screens, finishes, and lighting. Always confirm details with the retailer or brand before making a purchase.
Shade Shelf is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by OPI, Essie, CND, Zoya, China Glaze, Sally Hansen, Sinful Colors, or any other nail polish brand. All brand and shade names are trademarks of their respective owners and appear only to identify products.
Some links in Shade Shelf are affiliate links, meaning we may earn a commission if you make a purchase after tapping them. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases. This never affects the price you pay.
Shade Shelf is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that shade data will be accurate.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Shade Shelf and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the greater of $50 or the amount you paid us in the past twelve months.
You can stop using Shade Shelf and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive (such as your content license until deletion, disclaimers, and liability limits) survive termination.
We may update these terms as the app evolves. If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continuing to use Shade Shelf after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
